Troubleshooting
What PluggedDesk says when something does not work, what it means, and what to do.
Installing
Windows says "Windows protected your PC". The installer is not yet signed with a publisher certificate. Verify the download first; then choose More info and Run anyway.
The installer's SHA-256 is not the one on the downloads page. Do not run the file. Download it again. If it still differs, tell us.
Connecting
The tab shows the state of an attempt in words. The last state before a failure says how far it got.

During a session
The resolution I chose is not what I get. The server decides. Where it cannot resize a running session, the toolbar says so and offers to reconnect at the size you asked for. See Display.
Everything on the remote desktop is too large or too small. That is Scale, not Resolution. See Display.
Copying a file does nothing. Look at Clipboard files in the connection's properties, and in the folders above it: the setting is inherited. See Clipboard and keyboard.
A key goes to the remote computer when I meant it for PluggedDesk. The session has the keyboard. Click outside it, or open a menu.
Updates and licenses
"This installation is not activated". Choose Help › License. See Licenses and seats.
"All seats of this license are in use". The message names the computers that hold them. Free one on your account page.
Updates never arrive on version 0.4.0. That version reads a different channel. Install a later version by hand, once. See Updates.
When you tell us
The most useful things, in this order:
- The version (Help › About).
- The exact words on the tab or in the status bar.
- What Windows' own
mstscdoes against the same computer, from the same computer.
Please leave out passwords and the names of computers you would rather not share.
